Take a look at these groom guidelines for eloping and get our comprehensive Elopement Checklist (It is complimentary! Find it at the end of the post).
Grooms have a few choices in attire. If the bride wears a traditional wedding dress the groom should consider either a tux or nice suit. If the bride decides on a semi-formal dress, casual dress or dress pant suit the tux is out! The groom should choose between a nice suit or khakis and a collared shirt.
Choose a dress shoe or go for something fun. I love the Chucks in the photo! Think of how you can personalize your experience if you have the time and extra dough. You can also consider colorful shoes or fun socks.
You'll need to remember a few key items. Don't forget to choose and pack your tie, cummerbund, belt, vows, and gift/card for fiancé. I recommend a groom "bugout" garment bag to grab and go items of necessity. Make sure you remember the boutonnière.
***Don't forget your father/grandfather's cufflinks, watch or pocket watch or any other keepsakes.***
Make your trip to the barber's shop and get your beard/hair trimmed up real nice :
