New Orleans has picture perfect locations. Stunning views, breathtaking historical buildings, awe-inspiring cityscape and wondrous parks.
Here is a list of my top 5 most spectacular locations to shoot.
1. Audubon park
2. Bourbon Street
Audubon Park is a beautiful location. You can shoot breathtaking photos with a naturally remarkable back drop.
Bourbon Street is a popular location. I encourage you to find beautifully aged nooks off the beaten path to take unique photos. Remember in your quest to find the perfect shot capturing your background should never overshadow your subjects but highlight the story you are trying to convey. I love this photo because of its use of juxtaposition between a newly married couple beginning their lives together and historical buildings stressed throughout the years by use and nature.
3. City Park
City Park offers a wide range of backdrops to take incredible photos. If you love bridges, old buildings, nature and natural light then this place is for you!
4. French Quarter
The French Quarter is another popular location. Again, try to find a back drop that accentuates the vibe of the location but isn't the same as every other tourist. Try and see the location through a different lens. The stressed wood, faded colors and textures provide an aesthetically pleasing photo with that X factor.
5. River front
River Front is an amazing location. This place has a river front view. It is the perfect position to shoot subjects in front of bridges, city scape and water.
